Jeff Monson won the “Dollamar U.S. Grappling World Team” Trials last night in Sacramento, California. This is the second straight year Jeff has been crowned World Champion in the 275# weight division.
Although Monson is way smaller than the division weight limit at 232 pounds walking, Monson has been consistently excelling in grappling tournaments like the one mentioned above.
Jeff faced off against Brandon Ruiz in the finals winning by a score of 4-2. Congrats to the Snowman! Jeff Monson – probably the best heavyweight pure grappler in MMA.
I think Monson still has a few good fights in him. Saw him youtube the other day, calling out Kimbo..
